Our Story
We’re Rick Van Meter and Jennifer Chory—partners in life, love, and now, farming.
Our journey started on the set of a TLC reality show in 2020, sparked by one bold invitation and a kiss beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. Since then, we've traveled the country producing TV, but always dreamed of putting down roots.
In 2024, we found our place in the Catskills—a 21-acre blueberry farm and apple orchard that instantly felt like home. What began as a dream home quickly evolved into something more: a place to grow, gather, and share.
Van Meter Family Farms is our little corner of magic. Whether you're picking fruit, staying at our future retreat, or just soaking in the view, we hope you feel as inspired as we do every day.
